Community Guidelines & Review Policy
The Plug is a community platform built to elevate all things local, businesses, schools, nonprofits, churches, and events. To keep The Plug safe, fair, and valuable for everyone, we’ve established the following Community Guidelines. By using our site, you agree to follow these rules.
Respect & Integrity
- Treat others with respect in reviews, comments, and event submissions.
- Do not post hateful, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory content.
- Personal attacks, bullying, and defamatory remarks will not be tolerated.
Honest Reviews
- Reviews must reflect genuine customer or participant experiences.
- Fake, misleading, or compensated reviews are strictly prohibited.
- The Plug reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these rules.
Event Submissions
- Event promotion is a membership-only benefit. Members may submit unlimited events.
- Events must include accurate details (date, time, location, description).
- Misleading, duplicate, or spam events may be removed without notice.
- Illegal or unsafe events will not be published.
Business Listings & Content
- All listings must represent real businesses, schools, nonprofits, or community organizations.
- Descriptions, logos, and media must be accurate and legally owned by the submitter.
- Spam listings, keyword stuffing, or irrelevant categories will be rejected.
Prohibited Content
- You may not post or promote:
Illegal products, services, or activities. - Adult or explicit content.
- Violence, hate speech, or discriminatory material.
- Malware, scams, or phishing attempts.
Moderation & Enforcement
- The Plug reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any content that violates these guidelines.
- Repeated or severe violations may result in suspension or termination of membership.
- Decisions by The Plug regarding content moderation are final.
Reporting Violations
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it to [Support@ThePlug.com]. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
